It’s Daddy-O’s birthday today, and one of my very favorite people is 78!
I could write the same things year after year about how much I love and appreciate this man. He has spent my entire life showing up for me, cheering me on, coming to my rescue and loving our whole family fiercely. At 78, he is still the Daddy-O we can count on for just about anything, and I know how very lucky I am.
We have made so many wonderful memories together over the years, and thankfully he has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, he and Marme will soon be sailing away on a celebratory cruise!
And I tell you what, if I’m packing my bags and heading off on another adventure at 78, I will consider that a life very well lived. I hope I’m doing exactly the same.
Happy birthday, Daddy-O! I love you so very much and hope the next trip around the sun is full of family, good health, grand adventures and plenty of reasons to celebrate.
