Haunted Halloween Home Tour 2026 {Exterior}

We’ve reached the final stop on this year’s Haunted Halloween Home Tour, and we’re heading outside for one last look at all the frightful fun! While some of the rooms inside our home have taken a decidedly spooky turn, I like to keep things a little more friendly for the trick-or-treaters who come calling.

Our front porch is filled with grinning jack-o’-lanterns, happy little ghosts and plenty of orange and black. Most of these decorations have been part of our Halloween collection for years, and I still look forward to bringing them out every October.

The jack-o’-lanterns are longtime Target finds, and the sweet ghost door hanger from Bronwyn Hanahan remains one of my absolute favorites. I’ve also collected quite a few little mesh ghosts from Michael’s over the years. They’re so lightweight and easy to tuck into planters, along the walkway or just about anywhere that needs a little Halloween cheer.

The light-up Trick or Treaters Stop Here sign is another Target find that I love. The reverse side says Boo Out of Candy, which is such a clever idea for the end of Halloween night!

The larger mesh ghosts have been making their annual appearance along our sidewalk for years. They are especially cute gathered together to welcome visitors, and one of their best features is that they store completely flat. As someone with an ever-growing collection of holiday decorations, I appreciate anything that doesn’t require another giant storage bin. Haha!

I’ve always preferred a happy Halloween look outside. I want the littlest trick-or-treaters to feel welcome, even if things get a bit more haunted once you step through the front door! This year, I went with my faux boxwoods instead of trying to keep mums alive. They’re an easy, pretty backdrop for all the pumpkins and ghosts, and there’s certainly something to be said for greenery that doesn’t need watering!

Another little favorite is this Trick or Treat sign that I found at Target years ago. I replaced the original rope with ribbon, which made it a bit more my style. It usually hangs on the inside doorknob until Halloween night, when it’s time to let everyone know we’re ready for visitors.

Our Halloween decorations don’t stop at the front porch! I love having a few ghosts scattered around the yard, including one near our Little Free Library and mailbox. It’s such a fun little surprise for neighbors passing by.

And of course, the side entrance gets its own Halloween treatment. This is the door that family and friends use most often, so I always like to make it feel just as welcoming as the front of the house. A few glowing pumpkins and familiar seasonal decorations do the trick without much fuss.

The candy corn decoration has been around for ages, and the illuminated jack-o’-lanterns are more old Target favorites. Every once in a while, one needs a new bulb, but otherwise they’ve held up beautifully through many Halloweens. I love that so many of these decorations have been with us since the boys were little!

And with that, we’ve officially reached the dead end of our Haunted Halloween Home Tour!

Thanks for coming along on this year’s tour. Happy Halloween, y’all!
