Bonjour, friends! I recently enjoyed the loveliest afternoon with two of my college besties at a charming French restaurant in downtown Alpharetta. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food and the very best company made for a wonderful little escape!
Our destination was OneDay in Paris, a French-inspired café, bakery, restaurant and wine bar located at The Hamilton Hotel in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. The restaurant was founded by three French partners who wanted to bring a little of the everyday magic of Parisian café culture to Georgia. Think leisurely lunches, freshly baked pastries, wonderful coffee and a place where you can settle in and enjoy the company of those around your table.
And they have certainly created a gorgeous setting! The interiors are elegant and inviting, with a distinctly Parisian feel. It’s sophisticated without being stuffy, and I loved the atmosphere from the moment we arrived.
We started with honey lavender lattes, which were absolutely delicious. Such a lovely combination of flavors and a wonderful way to begin our lunch!
Rather than each ordering our own meal, we decided to choose a few things from the menu and share everything. This is one of my favorite ways to dine, especially when there are so many tempting options and you’ve known your table mates for three decades.
First up was a basket of pastries from the bakery. OneDay in Paris makes its pastries in-house, and I love that the bakery is such an important part of the restaurant. There is just something about a beautiful French pastry that makes an ordinary afternoon feel a little more special. We also shared quiche, a croque monsieur and a salad. The quiche was delicious, and the croque monsieur was another favorite. The salad was a nice, fresh addition to our assortment, and everything worked beautifully together for a leisurely lunch.
Of course, as wonderful as the food was, the best part was catching up with two of my dear college friends. There’s nothing quite like friendships that have lasted through so many different seasons of life.
After lunch, we wandered around the charming downtown Alpharetta area, browsing a pop-up French market and popping into a few of the nearby shops. I love an afternoon when lunch turns into a little outing, and the entire area is so inviting for strolling and exploring.
I will absolutely be returning to OneDay in Paris! While it was a wonderful spot for a girls’ lunch, I can also imagine it being a lovely date night destination. The restaurant serves dinner, and with its beautiful dining room, French-inspired menu, wine selections and cocktails, I think it would be a romantic place to spend an evening with Honey.
If you’re in the North Atlanta area and looking for somewhere special for lunch, a girls’ day or a date night, I’d certainly put OneDay in Paris on your list. Between the gorgeous ambiance, delicious food and charming location, it was such a delightful discovery.
And as always, the very best part was the company!
