To wrap up my week long porch projects palooza, I’m back with the details on my shell centerpiece. Sister lucked out with two of these giant hand painted plaster clam shells and was a complete doll to give one to little old me!! I’ve been sitting on it for a couple of months, along with a small lot of antique fishing floats and threw them together as a last minute centerpiece for our Independence Day fete. Well, I fell in love with it and think it will grace the porch table from here on out!
With a couple of flags tucked in for the fourth…
I layered a bed of moss in the bottom of the shell, scattered my antique fishing floats and then tucked in some oyster shells. I added two votives, which are quite lovely in the evening.
Thanks for sticking around throughout porch project week! We getting ready to hit the road for our annual Rosemary Beach vacation. Bear with me as I soak up the sun and spend time with the family!
Au revoir,
xoxo
