I Wish, I Wish

At Meet & Greet, Mrs. B had an “I Wish, I Wish” list with stars denoting items she’d love to have for her classroom.  I picked one of the stars with five watercolors (she had enough for the whole class on her list) and the PCP was delighted to deliver this to his brand new teacher on the first day of school…

Mrs. B has the most darling owl themed classroom you’ve ever seen, so I made up a suitable label for the watercolor bin.  I found the paints and the container at the Dollar Tree and, before I bought it, I loaded it up with twenty sets of paints to be sure it would fit enough for the whole class and be a practical addition to her room :-)

Owl Labels

Let me just say that it was nothing short of a miracle that the baby didn’t dive into these before we could get them out of the house.  He must’ve asked oh, say one gazillion times.  He’s nothing if not persistent.

So, I bet y’all can’t guess what we’ll be doing this morning…

  1. oh such a great idea! i hope our teacher has something like that. i bought some extra supplies to do a goody basket – but this would be awesome. last year for his kindergarden teacher's gift we had her make a list of things she needed/wanted for the classroom and sent it to all the parents and put it in a carry bag with the kitchy "keep calm and carry on" theme (i'm a sucker for kitchy, lol)

  2. I teach 3rd grade and we will be the Owls this year. Would love to know how you created the owl label. The gift is something any teacher would love. Thanks, Catherine

  3. Adorable! You are inspiring me as my son just started Pre-K on Monday. Where do you get the adorable diagonal striped pattern and cute owl?
