Y’all, this affair in celebration of my thirtieth birthday seems like eons ago. (Which is strange considering I’m not a day older than thirty and a half.) I had a three month old and didn’t want to spend my day slaving over party food so we went with a pink and chocolate dessert and cocktails theme. Everything was ordered from Smyrna’s divine little bakery, McEntyre’s.
Guests were greeted with candles and bubbles on the walk. Looking at this picture makes me really, really miss that house.
The foyer table held a candy buffet and Lilly book for guests to leave their birthday sentiments.
And the main event was set up in the dining room. Oh, what I’d give for one of those thumbprint cookies right about now.
In keeping with the theme, the signature cocktails of the night were pink cosmos and chocolate martinis. Mother all dolled up in pink, the PCP in his infant preciousness and moi decked out for the big night.
It was a memorable evening. With that, I’ve only got Honey’s thirtieth celebration left in the Flashback series!
xoxo
