The littles were beside themselves excited with our ride…
Honey, not so much. He came out in the garage while I was fixing it all up and said “I knew something lame was going on out here.” Phooey on him :-)
xoxo
PS. We are actually now back from the trip and I can’t wait to sort through all the pics and relive the fun now that I’m swimming in mounds of laundry, have no food in the fridge and am staring down piles of mail (what is all that junk?).
Why oh WHY did the "lame" comment crack me up? I can't wait to hear all about the trip! We have yet to even get Disney in under our traveling belt. With a 5 yr. old daughter I have to get my rear in gear!!!
Probably because it is kind of lame for adults. But the little ones found it completely fantastic which made me 110% glad I did it :-)
LMAO your husband is too funny! i bet your kids LOVED it though! you're such an awesome mom- you make things so fun!!! :) i bet they were so excited when they saw that!
Too funny. Hubs would have made me wash the windows prior to leaving. LOL Would have said they were a "driving hazard"! Can't wait to hear all about it.
I bet our trips overlapped….we just got back on Wednesday :)
Hahahahaha! Mom told me about your car and could not stop laughing. BTW…I'm glad you clarified that you are back from the cruise. I thought you were still on and maybe I had gotten off at the wrong stop :) xoxo
Love your Mouse Van. Love Disney and am posting this to Pinterest!
I am SUPER excited to hear about your cruise!!! We are Disney fan-a-tics and have been to the parks too many times to count. My husband wants to take a Disney cruise, but I am scared to go (do not like the thought of being on the open water at someone else's mercy!). Can't wait to see your pics and get your thoughts AND to hear the littles opinion too!
Hope you had a wonderful trip :)
Looks like so much fun! How old was your youngest the first time you took them to Disney? I have a 3 year old and 1 year old and really want to take them soon.
I love the windows — your son's face is priceless! :) You are an awesome mom.
LOVE THIS! Question —> we are headed to a Disney cruise this fall and driving so thought it might be fun to steal your idea for our trip. Here is the question, when you parked your car and left it for the cruise, were you concerned about someone breaking in since they knew you were gone for a while on a boat? That would be my only concern for doing this ourselves. Can't wait to read all about your trip! I've got my pinning button ready and waiting!
Jordan, Not worried at all! We parked at the terminal and it was clean, covered and seemed safe. I figure anyone parked there was obviously on a boat :-) We did experience a little sticker shock – parking was a flat rate of $75. Ouch!
$75 for parking?!?! Wow… that is high! We are going out of Galveston, TX… wonder how different that parking set-up is??? Thank you for the follow-up!
Love this idea! We are taking a surprise trip for Christmas, and I think picking our little guy up from daycare with the car decked out just might be the perfect way to break it to him!
