The littles thought it was perfect that our “Easter bunny” this year was Thumper! What a fun character to meet.
They racked up at the “Candy Scramble”. I was just in awe of the scenes from UP! that were created with candy.
After saying hello to “wilderness” Mickey, we were off to Epcot for the afternoon!!
I can’t imagine a lovelier place in Disney than Epcot in the spring. We absolutely adored checking out our favorite characters in topiary form. My very favorite was spying Peter Pan on the roof in England!
Since it is Flower and Garden Festival season, we ate our lunch around the world. It’s like a mini Food and Wine Fest and was just fantastic!!
Favorite were the Kung Pao Chicken Bun at Lotus House…
the Rossini at Primavera Kitchen…
the beef brisket burnt ends hash with cheese fondue (and the piggylicious bacon cupcake) at The Smokehouse…
the chocolate macaroon ice cream sammies always available in France…
and the Urban Mary and Kale Salad at Urban Farm Eats…
Speaking of Urban Farm, I found it hysterical that the chickens had laid Easter eggs.
While we gorged ourselves, we entertained the littles with an egg hunt of sorts…
…and the Perry the Platypus detective game thing.
By the time we’d made our way around the world, it was time for the fast passes. The littles were pretty much ready! We did Soarin, Nemo and Test Track (because of a snafu with our fast passes we got two tier 1s).
Back at Fort Wilderness, we took ice cold showers (more to come on that) and headed to Easter dinner at Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.
It was my first time seeing the show since I was little and it was absolutely the best!!! I already can’t wait to do it again!!
We didn’t make our reservation for Easter night until a few days before hand and we had tier 3 seats (probably the worst in the house). Buttttt…. we LOVED them! We were on the balcony right over the stage and the littles loved the view. The adults loved that our waitress was super attentive and didn’t have to weave in and out of tables to refresh our bottomless sangria and beers :-)
At two separate times during the show, cast members came up to interact with us.
It was such a fun evening!!! So much fun, in fact, that it flat wore out the PCP…
We’ve got one more day in Disney and I promise to dish on all the details of camping at Fort Wilderness!!
xoxo
That eat around the world – I swear it would be worth going just for that! Wow!
Y'all just had way too much fun! The pic of him crashed is priceless!!
The flowers in front of the italian pavilion are always one of my fave photo spots! I am sure they are even 100 times more spectacular during the festival!

It sounds like the perfect way to spend Easter and I also loved that the chickens laid Easter Eggs. So funny!
:-) not only children had fun:-) Great photos:-)
Wow it looks as if you all had a blast! :)
As our kids get older we LOVE Epcot more and more. The food and the Phineas and Ferb game is quite possibly my most favorite thing in all of Disneydom!
Awesome! They just think of everything, don't they? I love the candy that were images of UP- how cool! We will be there a week from today. We are doing Hoop De Doo for the first time as a family. I also did it once as a little girl back in the early 80's. Can't wait!
