We are back from our fun little girls jaunt down to sunny, warm Fort Lauderdale!! CeeCee was an absolute dream to travel with. She gives Cookie a run for his money on being the happiest, most easy going child ever.
We landed in Florida right around 10 and were at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina within 30 minutes! We loved the resort. It was convenient to everything, had gorgeous views of the Intercoastal and was neat and clean.
After relaxing at the hotel for a bit, we headed to the Mermaid Bar at Galleria for lunch (your suggestion!). Like lunch at all Neiman cafes, ours started with the divine popovers. Everything was just top notch!!
After a lot of shopping, we headed back to the Hilton. We stayed in for dinner at Nanking at the Hilton. The food was extremely generous in portions, the views overlooking the marina were gorgeous and we had a lovely evening!
On Monday we headed over to a stunning home on the Intercoastal off of Las Olas for CeeCee’s photo shoot with The Beaufort Bonnet Company. She took a little time to warm up, but then was her precious little self the rest of the morning. We were all dying at this pic of her…
We cannot wait to see her pictures!! After an exhausting morning of smiles and adorable clothes, we took uber to Las Olas, had a yummy lunch at Rocco’s Tacos (your suggestion!) and shopped our way all the way to the beach!!! One of our favorite parts was seeing all of the gorgeous homes on the canals. And the yachts… oh my!
It was a bit too chilly for the beach, but we still dipped our toes in, and CeeCee had a great time on the playground (your suggestion again!).
For dinner, we headed over to 15th Street Fisheries, like many of you suggested. It was SO yummy. If you go, definitely sit on the dock. It was a gorgeous evening and we had a lovely time.
Can you believe this little monkey? Sister had just a sliver of the bed each night. :-)
We spent our last day just relaxing at the resort before flying home.
It was such a great little getaway and all of your suggestions on my Wanderlust {Fort Lauderdale} post were spot on! If any of you are headed that way, I definitely recommend checking out the comments. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that we didn’t rent a car, but just took Uber everywhere. They were SO fast and it was very inexpensive since we were so close to everything.
I came back to a house in a state of disaster and made it triply worse by dragging out all of my Christmas boxes, totes and bags. It’s about to get very merry around here :-)
xoxo

How fun! I just know the pictures will be ADORABLE! xo
She is a darling little girl! and in those curlers…cute cute cute! Sheila
She is adorable and I loved seeing your trip photos! You probably already know this but – often some appear sideways (at least on my mac) so I don’t know if I’m the only one that sees them that way!
I know. I can’t figure it out!!!!
Great photos and she is so sweet.
Smiles
Lovely to have you girls here in the Venice of the Americas/Yacht Capital of the World! To think my sis lives right behind Rocco’s Tacos in an apartment built in the 1800’s! Wish we could have chatted, but seeing CeeCee…would have been the best! Love!
How do you use uber with a kid? Did you just drag a carseat with you? How does that work?
Yes, we carried a car seat! Checked it with our luggage.
Looks like you had a fabulous time at a fabulous place. My cousin lives a few blocks from Las Olas Blvd. and one of my favorite things to do is walk her neighborhood. INCREDIBLE! The shopping never disappoints, either!!!
