Let Your Life Change the World 2016 {Winners}

Last week I shared my family’s continued mission to “let your life change the world, one person at a time.”  I also asked y’all to share your resolutions, goals, missions for the year.  I read through each and every one and was just overcome with how amazing Dixie Delights readers are.  I could relate to so many, was inspired by so many, and am cheering all of you on in 2016!

I usually pick random winners for my giveaways, but was particularly touched by these three ladies and have chosen them as my winners.  Please email me at [email protected] with your contact information!

I unexpectedly lost my son Matthew a few months ago. He was incredibly sweet who showed kindness to everyone and gave grace quickly. So my resolution or “words” of the year (and maybe every year afterwards) will be kindness and grace.

I wish I could step through this computer and give you a great big real life hug.  I am so very, very sorry for your loss and admire your strength to extend kindness and grace in honor of your Matthew.  The world could certainly use more kindness and grace, and both are qualities I strive for as well.  Love and hugs!

I’m completing a big part of my New Year’s resolution already in just a few days! I am doing the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World’s Marathon Weekend. Two years ago, I was not even a runner, and I was unfit and unmotivated. Disney opened up a new world of fitness for me when I registered for and completed the Wine and Dine half marathon in 2014. I have worked hard and learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of during my training. So now it’s almost time reach my goal and celebrate my accomplishment!

Marathon weekend has come and gone and I followed along on social media.  I hope you had an amazing weekend and achieved your incredible goal!  Talk about magical miles!!!!  I too was 100% inspired by my first Disney race.  Three years later, I’m healthier, in better shape and feel better than I ever have before.

My resolution is to be in the moment.  Instead of checking that text message from work, I want to be in the moment at home and give my family my full undivided attention by showing them that there is nothing more important than them.

This is a big one for me too.  I am working more and more at home on my blog and etsy shop, in addition to my “real” job.  Towards the end of the year I realized that my littles were coming home from school and I was still plugging away.  I am going to have to say no to a lot of things this year in order to accomplish this – less lunches with friends, less time volunteering for random things at school, etc.  Saying YES to all of my friends, teachers, blog requests and so on and so forth means saying NO to my family and I just can’t do that any more.

I have added these items to my etsy shop, at the request of a few readers.  All proceeds from the sale of these items will go directly to our Christmas Jar!

  1. What a great way to pick the winners of your give-away. I can’t help but think these would make great teacher gifts for the end of the year or during teacher appreciation week too.
