Hey, Dixie Delights peeps–thanks to you and Amanda for letting me visit over here today! I’m Christy, and I blog with my dear friend (and former college roommate), Amy, at 11 Magnolia Lane.

Amy and I have been working together for almost six years, and between us we have five kids and three dogs–but don’t worry–only two husbands. :) We also have both moved a lot over the years (Amy’s husband is in sales and mine is a career Army officer), so you’ll see EIGHT different houses between us on our blog. It’s a very good thing we love to decorate, since we get plenty of practice!
We’ve been “virtual” friends with Amanda for years; she’s one of our favorite guests over at 11 Magnolia Lane, but we first met at the Haven Conference in Atlanta a few years ago. I was living in Savannah at the time and since she’s a Savannah native, we learned that we have several mutual friends.

So, enough about us! Today I wanted to share a few photos of my fall home tour at our current home in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
I usually keep my fall decor pretty minimal–Christmas is an entirely different story–but I enjoy adding a few touches here and there.
It’s still very warm around here, but I’m looking forward to sweater weather soon!
We have a two story living room that’s painted a pretty gold color, and since we’ll probably only be here for one more year, I’ve opted not to paint but to work with it.
Most of my decor tends to be traditional yet neutral, which makes it easier to decorate when you’re always on the move!
I’m also a huge fan of thrift shop and flea market shopping; when you move as often as we do, you can’t invest in really nice furniture (if you want to read about our last horrible move and all the damage we had, that post is here).
But honestly, I enjoy finding bargains and bringing old pieces back to life–that’s part of the fun of decorating!
You can read more about how I painted and monogrammed our dining room table and chairs after they were damaged in a move {here}.
And here’s a quick peek into our kitchen; this is such a great house for entertaining. We usually throw a huge formal Christmas party and several smaller (casual) gatherings throughout the year.
We’ll probably be moving on again next summer, so I’ll be decorating a new house. Like I said, I get plenty of practice!
For a complete source list, or to see the rest of my house, I’d love for you to visit me over at 11 Magnolia Lane. Last year’s Christmas home tour is {here}.
I hope you have a beautiful day; thanks for stopping by-

Your home looks lovely Christy. You have done so much since moving in, you would think you’d lived there for years. I love the idea of the wreath on the fireplace screen.
Lovely! Thanks for sharing!
I read about your nightmare move – it truly was awful and I suspect there was even more than you posted. So very sorry! Two Men and a Truck around here were pretty bad but nothing like you had. Love your current house tour – Love Southern Pines too! Please tell me what plant you are growing in the blue and white bowl – I really like the way that looks. Now, to find a pretty blue and white bowl too!
