Staying at Disney’s Beach Club on our last visit, we loved having Hollywood Studios just a quick boat ride away!
In spite of all of the construction going on to add Toy Story and Star Wars lands, I still find this park beautiful and enjoyable.
After knocking out our three fast passes for the day, we headed over to a new-to-us dining experience at 50’s Prime Time Cafe! In as many times as we’ve been to Disney, there are still loads of new things to do.
It’s a blast from the past when you walk into this all-American eatery themed like “Mom’s” kitchen.
We had so much fun in this completely immersive environment, pulling up vinyl chairs to the Formica table and tucking into hearty home cooking.
Our “cousin” waitress made sure everyone minded their manners. She gave a stern talking-to the boys when they pulled out their devices!
But don’t despair, the TV at our retro table played circa 1955 black-and-white clips from popular prime-time shows!
We really enjoyed the food as well. We dined on salads, o-rings, meat loaf and pot roast straight from Mom’s kitchen.
Off to the side of the cafe is the Tune-In Lounge. We started our meal here with milkshakes in the retro living room type space.
The food portions are generous, so go hungry. They are also pretty heavy, so this is a great dinner option to wrap up your day. If you go, know that advance dining reservations are a must as this is a Hollywood Studios favorite. We all had so much fun at this dinner and will definitely be back!!
