The Foyer Umbrella Stand

After looking for a “just right” umbrella stand for ages, I knew I had found the one when I opened my Ballard Designs catalog last September.  HAHA!  It only took me five months to share it.  Mother says I don’t let grass grow under my feet but sometimes I find half written posts in my draft folder that are almost obsolete by the time I get around to publishing them.

This one is called the Vine Umbrella Stand and I love the pierced design and fact that it is a clean, crisp white to go with my everyday and holiday decor.  It holds my favorite Mary Poppins umbrella (from the old show) and the boys’ canes from their honorary Duckmaster experience at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis.  There is nothing I love more than using things special to us – that evoke memories of past experiences, travel and years – in our decor.

You can find all of the details and sources of this relatively new foyer makeover (last March!) in THIS POST.  As usual, the fluffy baby was right under my feet this whole time.

We returned from the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration last night and the amount of travel work, blog stuff, etsy shop and life I need to catch up on is staggering.  :-)  It feels like the Monday-est Tuesday ever!

  1. Oh good gracious. I have been looking for the perfect white umbrella stand for ages and have not been able to find one. This is almost exactly what 8 had envisioned. Thanks so much for sharing. It looks perfect in your foyer!
