Whit’s room has been a bit of a revolving door of furniture since he never actually used the room until this past August. Since he moved in, I have yet again been tweaking things here and there to make it perfect for him. In addition to the new rug and new-to-him chair, I also finally pitched the burlap euro shams. When I first changed his crib out for a bed, I had two junk store find tables used on either side of the bed. They were mismatched and in pretty bad shape, so I painted the tops and skirted them in burlap. Hence, the matching burlap euro shames. Since then my love of burlap has waned. (Good thing it was so cheap to start with, right?!) It’s itchy and really not the best bedding wise unless, of course, the room’s occupant never sleeps there. After a very laid-back, months long search for a complimentary fabric to what he already had, I finally fell in love with a simple star print. It was quickly kid approved and we shipped it straight to Mother to make new covers for his euro shams!
The new fabric is really inexpensive and by one of my favorite brands for projects like this – Premier Prints. I chose the Mini Star in the White / Canal colorway. It is trimmed in Jackson in the Canal colorway.
He has a couple of sheet sets but this chocolate ticking stripe is our favorite. It was from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I made the buffalo check shams out of fabric from Ikea.

The pillows in front were a gift from a friend, already made, so I don’t have a source. The fabric on the pillows in back with the stars was from premier prints!
