The Ultimate Themed Signature Suites at the Disneyland Hotel

I had the chance to visit the five absolutely incredible themed suites at the Disneyland Hotel when I visited in November. Y’all grab a cup of coffee and get ready for the most spectacular room tour on a Disney property! These special suites will fully immerse you in the magic of Disney.

Fairytale Suite

The Fairytale Suite is the the pinnacle of romance and I imagine you would feel very much like a princess falling into this bed at the end of a Disney day. As you enter the small foyer, Tinkerbell flies across the wall and lights the castle display with a magical sprinkle of pixie dust. The bedroom sleeps two and offers gorgeous views of both parks.

Mickey Mouse Penthouse

The swanky Mickey Mouse Penthouse was inspired by the mouse that started it all! Inside you will find a plush living room with a home theater system, rare art from the Disney library, sweeping views, and dining and bar area. The master suite has a king bed and shower walls that magically show (hidden) Mickey’s only when the warm water is running! The kid’s bedroom has a contemporary round bed and hideout under Mickey’s sorcerer hat.

Adventureland Suite

When you ring the doorbell at the Adventureland Suite, the carved heads in the foyer start chanting and explorers young and old know they are in for an adventurous stay! The living space includes a seating area with hidden flat screen tv, dining room and a bar, but the highlights are the day bed tucked in the wall and hidden closet disguised as a bookcase. The master suite is like stepping into a safari lodge with the claw-foot soaking tub right in the bedroom and a hidden grotto with steam and rain showers, lighting and sound effects off of the bathroom! The second bedroom very much resembles a safari tent.

Big Thunder Suite

Themed after the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, this suite transports you right to America’s gold rush and is undoubtedly the wildest stay in the wilderness! In this room, howling wolves sound the doorbell and you enter into a mine shaft foyer. Look for a “do not turn” knob to set off a series of audio effects in the suite, and an 1800s telephone with recorded messages. In addition to an open living room, dining room and bar, the suite features two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Pirates of the Caribbean Suite

Ahoy mates! Set sail for this old word retreat filled with treasures made familiar in the movies, including Captain Jack Sparrow’s revolver, plundered silver, and even the black pearl.  The Old World living spaces include a living room, large dining space and bar area. The Captain’s Quarters master is resplendent with a canopy bed and and luxurious bathroom. The little ones will love their sleeping quarters with two beds and more pirate decor and art. Oh, and not to be outdone by the others, this doorbell plays “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me.”

There are only these 5 themed suites, and just one of each so they do fully book and are worth planning for in advance. But, you can leave it to me to find availability for your special visit, as well as handle every detail of your Disneyland vacation! So now, I must ask the question… if you could pick one to stay in, which would you choose?? I would LOVE to stay in the Adventureland Suite so, so much!!!

  1. The bathtub in the Big Thunder suite makes that one my choice! Sadly I do not think these accommodations will ever be in our Disney budget. What a treat to get to peak into all of them. Thank you!
