The Disney characters are a magical part of any Walt Disney World resort vacation, and I’ve received loads of questions regarding what character dining is available and what the experience is like! I shared Minnie’s Halloween Dine back in the fall and thought I’d give an update on Minnie’s Holiday Dine.
Hollywood & Vine offers lunch and dinner and is located inside the Hollywood Studios theme park. Inside, the mouse-with-the-mostest hosts sensational soirees that mix festive music, décor, and tantalizing menu items. Celebrate with popular Disney Characters—perfectly dressed for each season.
Halloween Dine: September – November
Minnie’s Holiday Dine: November – January
Silver Screen Dine: January – March
Springtime Dine: March – June
Summertime Dine: June – September
Restaurant capacity is still reduced in all Disney World dining locations. You can see here just how few tables are inside. All are situated at least six feet away from the next, and plexi glass dividers serve as understated barriers between booths and walkways. Once seated inside the restaurant, you can remove your face covering. All servers that come to your table will wear both a mask and a shield.
The meal is three courses, with shared starters along with a choice of individual plated entrees and desserts. We had a MUCH better dining experience in November than back with they first reopened in September. The characters were just as cute and engaging but the food quality went from meh to pretty darn good!
Minnie and friends (currently Mickey, Goofy and Pluto) dance through the restaurant, wave, and pose for socially distanced pictures near your table. Guests are given an autograph card at the end of the meal to commemorate the experience. They are doing an excellent job of keeping the experience both SAFE and MAGICAL and we didn’t feel one bit of the old magic was lost. In fact, as parents, this set up was much more relaxed… there was no shuffling everyone out of a booth to quickly pose for a photo mid-bite.
Overall, it is a festive and heartwarming experience for kids of all ages! Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at Hollywood & Vine is one of the most coveted reservations right now! Of course, I handle all of these details for my concierge clients.
