Spring Fling {Backyard Bites & Sips}

At long last, we welcomed our friends back to our home to kick off spring! It was the most incredible night with our neighbors – talking, eating, cocktailing and just enjoyed each other’s company after a long, long year. Y’all know how much I love to entertain and I can’t tell you how good it felt to be back at it.

The night could not have been more perfect weather-wise. While the doors to the house were open, I don’t think anyone left the backyard other than to use the restroom. The highlight of the night was Mark Miller, who makes the rounds in our circle and is an incredible human and Americana / country musician.

We set up the bar in the courtyard and food on the porch.

The menu was simple and some of our most favorite bites. Honey grilled pork tenderloins on the Big Green Egg prior to the party start. I made Asian Noodle Salad and Jalapeno Cheddar Crackers. I ordered petit fours and thumbprint cookies from my favorite Atlanta bakery, McEntyre’s.

Recipes:

I have had so many friends ask me about Empress Gin in the last year that I made a bunch of my favorite recipe – Empress 75. It was a huge hit!

We partied late into the night and I woke up to countless texts from friends the next morning. It felt so good to be back together again! I only managed to get a few pics before the guests arrived. Thankful for friends that sent me theirs afterwards!

Now, we can’t wait for summer vacation in a few short days!

    1. They were from a local gift shop and the only two they had! I wish I hadn’t thrown out the tag!
