I’ve followed Georgian Candace Carroll Art on Instagram for a long, long time. Last summer I ended up purchasing one of her prints for Sister. Well, I loved it so much that a year later and I have a little collection of three myself!
Candace is an acrylic and watercolor painter in Georgia, Working out of her barn studio, she paints abstracts, florals, landscapes and anything else that evokes creativity.
Candace graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in photography.
After college, she spent a few years as a portrait photographer, but the technology transition from film to digital photography left her wanting more. As an outlet to create something tangible, her exploration of watercolor painting developed into a true love of painting. For her, painting is a gift from the Lord and is a way to connect spiritually using her talents.
In her spare time, you can find Candace painting in the barn with her three children, relaxing on the porch with her husband Brad, playing with her Boston Terrier puppy Dottie, or gardening in the yard of their home in North Georgia.
These hang on a small wall in my entryway. I absolutely love them together. Every piece in both her “coastal” and “marsh” series are just stunning.
It’s hard to tell here, but each one has a touch of gold. I framed them in these inexpensive white frames (Amazon) but upgraded to double mattes (found at Michael’s).
I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy all the pretties on Candace’s site!
