Atlanta {The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience}

Dearest gentle reader, did you miss me?

As you likely know, I have thoroughly enjoyed both seasons of Bridgerton and was thrilled to attend The Queen’s Ball with my like-minded bestie. There’s not much we love more than dressing up, pretty cocktails, photo-opps and a spin around a dance floor.

Our afternoon started by preparing ourselves for the ball. This was half of the fun! I don’t get too many opportunities to queue up a play list and have fun with hair and makeup.

After making our way through the lilac, we were transported to 1813 London to take part in the most coveted ball of the season and mingle with other members of the Ton.

We purchased the VIP tickets, which were well worth it! We sailed right by a HUGE line on arrival and were able to do both photo areas and sip on our included glass of bubbly before the event officially started.

The Queen was presented with proper pomp and circumstance, and an extremely talented band of musicians. We each made our way to curtsy to her, and were in near hysterics over her commentary. I was awarded “perfect curtsy”, with all my years of ballet paying off. Missy received a “we needn’t all get so close to the queen” and the lady behind us got “what an extraordinary display of decolletage”.

We couldn’t resist trying one of the signature cocktails of the event.

And we loved exploring the exhibits. I even found my dress inspiration!

After the Ton had been presented to the Queen, we moved on to the ball! It was SO.MUCH.FUN! The beautiful ballroom was decorated in the Regency-era style, performers were dressed in exquisite period costumes and live music was inspired by the iconic Bridgerton soundtrack. We even learned a couple of dances ourselves.

Neither of us rose to Diamond of the season, but we both agree it was spectacularly fun! If the experience comes to a city near you, make haste!

I got a few questions on Instagram about our outfits. Here are links:

We just might reuse these for Halloween!

  1. You Miss Amanda always have your finger on the pulse. I didn’t even know this existed, but that’s why I always read your blog so i can be kept in the know.

    Fingers crossed it comes to my state.
