I mentioned on my Haunted Halloween Home Tour that I went with a much more subdued look this year on the porch. I was inspired by a snake candle holder and decided a new piece of art for the fireplace was in order.
I started with a blank white canvas, a can of gold spray paint and a bag of plastic snakes. (canvas and paint from Michael’s)
I gave these suckers a good coat, front and back, of paint and left them in the sun to dry. Strangely, some of them refused to dry. I just tossed those. With the rest, I used hot glue to attach them to my canvas.
I absolutely love the way it turned out! And a canvas is super easy to store. I have mine stacked in the rafters of my attic.
Happy haunts!
