Our Haunted Halloween Home Tour continues today in the dining room! Dare to dine with us?
I just love how the table turned out this year! I change it every year, but reuse a lot of the same elements.
If you think about a table in layers, start from the bottom and work your way up. I started with a black spiderweb tablecloth from Target.
Next I ran moss down the center of the table. I have a bunch of candlesticks that go with my china. I used two different styles of black tapers, primarily because I already had 4 and needed four more. It is also an easy way to give more variation in height – buy different sizes candles.
The two cachepots were from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I used them for this table since they had a distressed look.
With the candlesticks and flowers in place, I added all of my mini ceramic pumpkins (dollar spot a few years ago) and skeleton hands (also Target).
All of the china and silver are things we use regularly. I always get asked about the plates – Mother gave them to me years and years ago. They are Spode.
I found the chalkboard tombstones at Target a couple of years ago and use a chalk marker to write on them. I’ve used them on a buffet and as place cards. They are versatile! The salad plates were collected over the years from different places – Pottery Barn and Homegoods, if I recall.
Over on the sideboard I have a cauldron of eyeballs. They are from Grandin Road (I’ve had mine a few years but they still carry them) and the cauldron was from Williams Sonoma last year. It is food safe, which I like. It can be used for punch, soup or even just passing out candy on the big night.
Happy Halloween, y’all! Thanks for stopping by.
