Ringing in 2023 {Cookies & Champagne}

With John set to be off with friends for the night, Honey, Whit and I opted to do a repeat of New Year’s Eve 2022! We enjoyed a divine dinner at one of our favorite Atlanta restaurant’s – Rumi’s Kitchen.

Rumi’s Kitchen is a Persian restaurant with an inventive yet approachable menu that stays true to its origins. This is pretty much our standard order and we always have LOTS coming home with us for leftovers.

  • Naan
  • Kashk Badenjoon – fried eggplant, mint, crispy onion, cream of whey
  • Hummus
  • Falafel
  • Chicken Barg with Shirin Rice
  • Koobideh Kabob with Saffron Rice

We were back home by 9:30 PM and settled into jammies to watch football. Earlier in the day, I prepared sugar cookies and champagne for our midnight toast!

Stir Sticks | Platter

I used the recipe from Nesting with Grace. My favorite source for decorating anything sweet is Fancy Sprinkles. The cookies were good, but I admit I like my old recipe better. I don’t think I’ve ever shared it here but really do want to try to get back to making cookies for holidays and birthdays!

Happy New Year!
