Dishing on Silver Polish

After many, many years of using Wright’s Silver Cream, I’ve got a new favorite in the house! Mother introduced me to Town Talk and was so insistent that I’d love it that she even sent a bottle straight to my door. We have both found it to be more effective on tough tarnish with less elbow grease! I do think it has a stronger smell than Wright’s, but I’m never looking back.

While I generally polish silver as I use it, I always include the chore in my January Junkout Jamboree. This is when I hit the bulk of my pieces in one fell swoop. I shared my mom’s method for this a couple of years ago and it is still my go-to!

Sometimes I feel sad that this blog has turned from homemade bubble recipes to polishing silver. But, it’s been quite a number of years, hasn’t it?!

  1. Nothing wrong with silver polish. If we need it and love it then well worth your time sharing. And someone will still find your bubble recipe and love it. I don’t highly polish the small amount of silver I own and learned to embrace the slight tarnish look for a few pieces. Do you use this on jewelry? I like the polishing cloths but sometimes need a true polish.

  2. Thank you for letting us know about this product. Polishing silver isn’t one of my favorite chores, so I’m anxious to try this one out. I even ordered their silver polish for jewelry as we have quite a few pieces of that as well. I too miss the days of going to the park and kids chasing bubbles, but I’m looking forward to experiencing it all over again as a grandmother (God willing!)
