Musings

Gosh, it’s been a while. Here’s the highlight reel as of late.

These cuties came out to watch John’s team play lacrosse Friday night!

At long last, Watermelon Mint Lemonade is back at Chick Fil A. SOOOOO excited!

I made Half Baked Harvest hot honey chicken and it was OK. The guys all liked it but I think I just don’t enjoy hot sauce in basically anything. The true star of the show was my favorite mac and cheese.

Mother sent the most wonderful Easter “basket” to me this year. She made the cross and the eggs, and chose the hand towels just to match my kitchen. She even sent a little cloth to wipe fingerprints off of the acrylic frame. LOVE!

We spent the weekend ALL contributing to the outdoor space and yard Spring clean up. The boys mowed and pressure washed, I planted and scrubbed cushions. Honey wiped everything down to get rid of the pollen. We still have TONS of yard work left.

The perfect kind of weekend morning.

This cutie and Sister came over and spent the afternoon. We had such a fun girls day “opening” the pool.

A freshly fluffed bed always beckons these two from wherever they may be.

Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend!

  1. Amanda, I love how you are using the china cabinet in the bedroom. I have a piece like it that I used in my front room/office in the last house, and now I have it in the upstairs hallway at the end of the hall. I love using vintage pieces in not-the-usual-way. Even though most of the decor behind my glass doors is light or white, it still has a dark look. I love that yours is white behind the doors. Is it bright white or more of a cream? Did you paint that yourself? If so, would you mind sharing what paint you used and any tricks or tips you found handy?

  2. Thanks for the heads up about the arrival of Chick-fil-A’s watermelon mint lemonade. Your Mother is so talented and creative! I love the acrylic Cross and the hand painted eggs. The pollen in Virginia is letting up some and we had a heavy rainfall Friday afternoon so that helped things some. I will be so happy when I don’t to have to wipe everything down each day when I sit out on our screen porch.
