Summer Hydrangeas

Gosh, nothing says summer in the south like a sea of hydrangeas.

We are at year three and they have quote literally exploded. This must be the sweet spot!

I am often asked about them – they are limelight and have thrived in full sun. We don’t have irrigation back here and the only water they get is thanks to mother nature.

I have loved bringing them inside in vases by the dozens. Summer, you’ve been good.

  1. Amanda, I know you have mentioned this before, but where are your cute egg chairs from? I love limelight hydrangeas, they are my favorite but here on Lake Oconee (in GA), its like candy to the deer. They eat the flowers and leaves. Hoping to have some when we decide to move closer to the kids and grandkids.
Love your blog! It’s one of the few that I follow! :)

    1. Oh no!! We do have deer but they haven’t discovered my hydrangeas. I guess because the yard is fenced now and we are pretty far back from the golf course where they roam. The egg chairs are better homes and gardens brand from Walmart! They have held up wonderfully and are so comfy!
