My Little Garden

July 10, 2024July 10, 2024

I did my spring plantings on Good Friday and have just loved spending time cultivating my little garden this spring and summer. The two beds are located in the same spot in our side yard as they were back when the boys were little. Time does fly. I still have the original front porch railings… Read More

We have been working so hard on our yard and I am thrilled to finally have a few garden beds once again! They are located in the same spot in our side yard as they were back when the boys were little. I still have the original front porch railings back here as a little… Read More

Summer Hydrangeas

July 25, 2023July 26, 2023

Gosh, nothing says summer in the south like a sea of hydrangeas. We are at year three and they have quote literally exploded. This must be the sweet spot! I am often asked about them – they are limelight and have thrived in full sun. We don’t have irrigation back here and the only water… Read More

The Delightful Home {Pool, Cabana & Courtyard Tour}

September 1, 2021September 1, 2021

At long last I sat down for a few days (not kidding!) to share a full tour of our pool, cabana and courtyard. We started this project very early in 2020 and finished up October 2020. Honey dreamed of a backyard pool for 12.5 years. While it took me that entire time to warm up… Read More

The Delightful Home {Backyard Pool Tour}

August 12, 2021August 11, 2021

I have no excuse for why it took me so incredibly long to share this tour with y’all! As many of you know, we spent most of 2020 in a massive construction project to overhaul our backyard. Everything finished up in mid-October. I finally filed a video tour of the entire space! I will do… Read More

Splashing Into Summer Post Spider

August 1, 2021November 4, 2021

I thought I’d check in with one final update on the spider today. While most Atlantan’s are preparing for a new school year, on this last day of July I finally splashed into summer! I got the a-ok to resume normal operations regarding showers, swimming, baths and exercise post spider bite. I will end up… Read More

A Nasty Little Problem

April 27, 2021April 21, 2021

We spent more time than ever outside last Spring and summer and, with our new addition, continue to rack up the hours outdoors! As a funny side note, I was thinking yesterday how I always say I’m not an outdoors person. However, the only spaces I have ever wanted larger in this house are all… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
