It was early spring the last time I did a digest of our favorite shows. We fall solidly in the Netflix camp, so you’ll find these there!
Bridgerton
I’m not sure this one need any sort of statement. I loved seeing how things turned out for Pen. And, of course, the dresses and interiors and balls were eye candy.
As a new crop of debutantes yearns to become the brightest of the ball, a wallflower with a double life finds her light amid secrets and surprises.
America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
There was so much here to unpack that I’m still talking about it with friends or anyone who will listed. I had NO IDEA what it takes to make this team. Fascinating. But, what I enjoyed most was seeing what good, strong women make up the team. A truly riveting watch. I was so obsessed I now follow a few of them on Instagram.
Follow the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders from auditions to training camp and the NFL season as they chase their dreams and a coveted spot on the squad.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
I actually loved this little series. I thought Pippa was cute and charming and loved that it kept me guessing to the end. The English accents were the cherry on top.
Five years after the murder of a 17-year-old girl in a sleepy English town, one student is determined to uncover the truth and find the real killer.
Mayfair Witches
This was a good, mindless watch. I ran through the series quickly. Wish there was another.
Troubled by her newfound powers, a young neurosurgeon seeks out her mysterious birth family, but what she discovers among the Mayfairs is a dark legacy.
American Murder: Laci Peterson
This one was gutting to watch. Laci’s smile just exuded joy. I had a hard time wrapping my brain around how Scott could have murdered her and their son and dumped them like trash. Evil.
Laci Peterson was eight months pregnant when she vanished, sparking a search that ended in tragedy. This docuseries delves into the 2002 murder case.
I’m not immersed in Emily in Paris and we are watching The Perfect Couple together.

I enjoyed GGM. So sweet at end.
My longing for simpler times always has me looking for shows set in 90s . Monsters on Netflix fits that eye candy.
ooh if you liked the dallas cowboy documentary i would suggest watching the actual reality show they had on CMT called DCC making the team! i think its on amazon prime. i felt netflix was the much more filtered version were they tried to be nicer haha. the DCC show theyre a LOT more critical about their bodies and dancing and just in general it really showed me how hard it is to be on the team O_O ! like they would make them go on the scales and were super critical about losing weight, going on diets etc on the show. theres tons of seasons to watch!
A friend just told me about the original this morning! Thank you!
Hi Amanda
I have been getting your blog in my email for the past several years. I have had to change my email address to a different one. Is there a way that you can make the change at your end? I tried to sign up again with my new email and it is not accepting, it just keeps spinning. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. I have entered this comment with my old email ([email protected]), but you will need to respond to my new email: [email protected]
I didn’t know how else to get a hold of you :). And I would understand if you don’t post this comment with all my info. Thanks!
Denise
Hi Denise, My email provider shut down with no notice and I spent all of September spinning my wheels with a new company. I ended up firing them and am now working with a third. I’m the problem! I hope it is fixed soon!
Hi,
We really like Wednesday (based on the daughter from the Addams family. It is part mystery, part ghoulish and really funny. The writing and acting are fabulous. Season 2 is in the works and we can’t wait.
Have you read the Good Girls Guide to Murder? It’s a good trilogy. I’ll have to watch the show and see if it matches the book(s). The same is true for The Perfect Couple. I liked the book except the ending was quickly tied up in a neat bow, which didn’t work for me. Although I heard they changed a fair amount in the Netflix show as compared to the book, so I’ll have to watch and see.
