Christmas in Savannah {All the Things}

Checking in today with all the Christmas things… this was the first year where none of the kids were up chomping at the bit to open gifts before 9AM. Gosh, that felt luxurious!

As everyone was waking up, Mother had breakfast snacks out and the coffee machine was working overtime.

After gifts – the favorites were iPhones (CeeCee & Whit), watch (John), weather station (daddy-o), dress (me), diamond cross necklace (marme), mixer (sister), lego thingamabob (jay), electronic thingamabob (uncle j), sous vide system (honey) – we sat down to Mother’s breakfast casserole (which we call a “bake” because John claims he doesn’t like casseroles; there were TWO of these, btw)

Mother and Daddy-O prepared our Christmas feast all day while the big and bigger kids watched movies, read, played games and worked on the puzzle.

It was all delicoius!

I always look forward to this slow week between Christmas and New Years! I do take down my decorations (hopefully this weekend) but won’t be doing much else!

  1. I love being a part of your family gatherings/holidays! I never know where you will be….around the world or in Savannah or Atlanta! They are so festive and full of joy and great ideas! I love the breakfast snacks idea that your Mother provided! Thanks for sharing…know it is a labor of love! Enjoy John being home and May God continue to richly bless you and your family in the year ahead!
