Our Weekend Visitor

After two and a half long months, we were thrilled to have John home for the weekend!

We didn’t even leave the house – we hunkered down, ate all the things, cheered on the Tigers, played games and simply enjoyed being back together again. He also knocked out a bunch of homework and studying. I absolutely refused to go to bed early and miss a minute with him, so I practically had to toothpick my eyes open every night. :-)

A few of his favorites… Fajitas | Dutch Baby | Chili Cheese Dip | Creme de Menthe Brownies | Sourdough | Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

He stayed on until Monday around lunch. Seeing him drive away doesn’t get easier, does it?

Counting down the days until next time….

  1. I am sooo clise to this. Hoping for an 1-3 hours away. Not 6 :/

Anyway so happy for you. Such a sweet visit.

  2. Thank you for sharing your special time with us, Amanda. Your Auburn touches made it! Congratulations to the Tigers! 🏀⛹🏻‍♂️ Jane 🌴

  3. You will also find yourself getting overjoyed when you run into John’s friends out and about when they come home for their own school breaks. It’s as if that helps you feel connected to your own kiddo.

      1. And I hope that we get to “run into” his old gang on here this summer. 😀 I’m thinking a pool party reunion is on the way!
