I’ve mulled over adding a birthday door hanger to my collection for nearly two decades now. But with both boys celebrating their big days during the busy (and fully decorated) Christmas season, I always figured it wouldn’t get much use beyond just a day or two around each birthday.
Well, Honey’s 50th finally pushed me over the edge, and I’m so glad it did. My only regret? That I waited this long!
I found this adorable little cake hanger on Etsy and love the chalkboard area where you can write in a name, age, or fun message. I used these chalk markers and, while they didn’t wipe completely clean, it will all work just fine for future celebrations.
I proudly hung it on the front door for the entire month of May and moved it to the side door just for the party. Since the festivities took place in the backyard, I knew no one would see it out front.
It was such a joy to celebrate Honey all month long—and this sweet little sign made it feel extra festive!
