We ended up with the most delightful June evening for our Sips & Suits mahjong night! I couldn’t resist taking advantage of the clear, cool-ish night and set up our game in the courtyard.
Arrivals were at 6:30, with game play starting promptly at 7. That first half hour is always for a few bites and sips, and since I already had the house decked out in red, white, and blue, I carried that theme through with our cups, napkins, and snacks.
What makes this group so special is that everyone truly prioritizes being here – marking their calendars months in advance and rearranging life to make it happen. And let’s be honest, as moms, we don’t do that for ourselves nearly often enough! It’s not just about keeping our minds sharp (though it certainly does that). It’s about carving out space to connect as women, beyond the busyness of work and family. I think I speak for all of us when I say that Sips & Suits has been such a joy and a true highlight of 2025.
