Haunted Halloween Home Tour 2025 {Entry Foyer}

October is here, and our inside Haunted Halloween Home Tour begins right where it should – in the entry foyer! Kindly step all the way in, please, and make room for everyone. There’s no turning back now.

I layered a lacy spiderweb tablecloth over the everyday skirt on my entry table, and I love how the webs and spiders pop! Up above, I switched out the chandelier shades for my DIY black-and-white striped dotted ones from years past – they still make me so happy every season. Bats are flying high on the mirror (these clings are over ten years old and still going strong from my Michael’s stash!).

Over the years, I’ve also built up a little collection of Molly Jenkins and Third Bowl Pottery ghosts, and they just might be my favorite part of this space. Each one holds a flickering battery tea light that gives the whole entry a cozy, spooky glow at night.

As always, rats scurry up and down the stairs… cardstock cutouts secured with painter’s tape that I’ve used for years. They’re so simple, inexpensive, and easy to store flat, which makes them a must-have in my Halloween decorating arsenal!

I also love incorporating props from the boys’ old costumes into my décor. This year’s example? An axe tucked into the umbrella stand for an unexpected little fright.

Looking back from the hall, you can really see how narrow this entry table is, and how perfectly my little ghost collection fits the space.

I sure do miss my Halloween-loving oldest, but I know he’d approve of how the foyer turned out this year. The Haunted Halloween Home Tour continues later this week… next up, we’ll head inside for a peek at the den!

    1. Since I was taking pics with the front door open I had to lock her upstairs with Honey. She is a Dasher (also her middle name!) But she’s as good and precious as ever.
