Happy Thanksgiving, friends. We enjoyed the most wonderfully low-key day. It was exactly what all of our hearts needed after a full season of work, school, travel and life moving at full throttle. The morning started slow, with a cozy breakfast casserole in front of the Macy’s parade, pajamas still on, mimosas in hand, and nowhere we needed to be except together. My favorite kind of morning.
By late morning we wandered down to a friend’s place for their family’s Thanksgiving tradition – a little plum brandy at the mailbox. It’s one of those funny, sweet rituals that you don’t realize is magic until you’re standing there in the crisp air thinking… I hope we do this forever.
We spent the afternoon with Honey’s family, lingering over a delicious meal, Whit’s cheesecake, and stories that inevitably get better and more grandiose by the year because that’s what holiday tables are built for. And just when the day should have been winding down, Sister’s family popped by for a late-night visit, stretching Thanksgiving just a little bit longer.

Tonight I’m ending the day deeply grateful for family, for friendships that feel like family, for traditions big and small, and for the gift of another year to love the people under my roof and around my table.
Happy Thanksgiving!
