National Honor Society Induction

We had a special evening celebrating Whit’s induction into the National Honor Society, and I couldn’t be more proud.

Membership is based on more than just academics, which makes this honor feel especially meaningful. Students are selected not only for scholarship, but also for service, leadership and character… a true reflection of the whole student.

Eligible students are invited to apply based on their GPA, and then go through a thoughtful review process by a faculty council. For the scholarship component, students must have a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher. While the National Honor Society sets a minimum of 3.0, each school can establish its own standard, and his has set a high bar. It was a rigorous process with essays, teacher recommendations and more.

Whit has worked hard in all of these areas, often quietly and without much attention, which makes this recognition even more special to see. It was a lovely ceremony and a meaningful moment for all of us.

So proud of you, Whit!
