50th Birthday Party {The Night We Celebrated Big with all the Bows}

March 18, 2026March 18, 2026

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not I even wanted to have a party for my 50th. Party planning is no small undertaking, and this one would be almost entirely on me. But then again… I celebrate everything. I love a good party. And I knew deep down I… Read More

Sunday Brunch {Amaretto Fruit Dip}

March 15, 2026March 10, 2026

The other day I went down a rabbit hole flipping through some of my older cookbooks, which is always a dangerous and delightful place to wander. In one that my sweet friend NF gave me at a wedding shower back in 2002, the Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton cookbook, I stumbled upon a… Read More

Pop In & Sip Awhile {Espresso Martini Night}

March 13, 2026April 18, 2026

February’s Pop In & Sip Awhile featured a cocktail Honey and I both love but had never actually made ourselves… the espresso martini. We sent the text invite to friends a couple of days before and then looked at each other and said, “We better figure this out.” Luckily, I had screenshot a recipe about… Read More

Fifty, Bows & a Birthday Door

March 11, 2026March 10, 2026

With my big 50th birthday celebration this month, I decided to skip my usual St. Patrick’s Day door and just leave the bows and monograms up all month long. Now I have so many fun details from the party to share soon, but for now I thought I would start outside. The whole celebration was… Read More

Sips & Suits {February Mahjong Surprise}

February 25, 2026February 25, 2026

I had the biggest surprise this month, and I am still smiling about it. Bestie M and I have a long-standing birthday dinner tradition, and since she moved about an hour away, it did not seem strange at all when she suggested we celebrate a little early this year. We had a lovely dinner, caught… Read More

Celebrating Our January Birthday Girls

February 12, 2026February 12, 2026

Last weekend felt like one of those full heart kind of weekends. Marme and Daddy-O were in town for Whit’s cello concert and Jay’s Matilda performance, and we used the opportunity to gather our party of nine to celebrate our beautiful January birthday girls. Only John was missing, and we certainly felt that gap at… Read More

Pop In & Sip Awhile {Cozy Cocoa Edition}

February 6, 2026April 18, 2026

Pop In & Sip Awhile officially kicked off in December with our Pickle Martini Night. January brought the “Cozy Cocoa Edition”, and if the first two months are any indication, this gathering already feels like a keeper. The idea is simple: a casual, drop-in open house featuring one signature drink, no formal invites, no pressure… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
