Many moons ago, as good little girls often do, I did a brief stint as a Brownie. You know, Savannah being the Girl Scout capitol of the world, everyone that was anyone had a daughter dressed in brown (or blue or green depending.) Well, it is likely not a shocking surprise that I was a miserable failure in the Girl Scouts. Let’s face it, camping, crafting home decor out of popsicle sticks and yarn and exploring the great outdoors are just not my forte. I was even horrid at peddling the cookies that sell themselves.
Which brings me to the point. As good little ex-Girl Scout girls often do, I LOVE Girl Scout cookies!! Honey brought our order home from work Friday. After he consumed an entire box of Samoas BY HIMSELF. Gasp! That’s treachery around here.
So, yesterday after baseball and a morning bath due to yet another one of Cookie’s change-my-poopie-by-myself disasters, I parked myself in my driveway chair, sipped on ice cold Coca-Colas and snacked on Tagalongs, Samoas, Dosi-dos and Thin Mints while the littles amused themselves riding bikes, scootering, fighting trees, playing ball and building forts.
[I die at those scrumptious lips.] |
And after consuming said cookies, I suppose I’ll need to go on a starvation diet to be able to fit into pants without an elastic waist band.

And send relaxing bed rest vibes to bestie S, who is confined to her bedroom lair for the long haul.
