It’s been raining cats and dogs, but our landscaper and a crew of at least TWENTY swooped in this morning and by lunch time we had GRASS! (They worked on the sprinkler, beds and grading for the last week.) I stepped out for a sec in the break in the rain to snap a few pictures. A bunting on the new front portico and a flag on garage side gave some just-in-time patriotic flair.
I could hardly leave out the side door, seeing as this is the entry most all of our visitors use.
And, of course, I shared the porch buntings and flags yesterday.
A few extra flags got thrown in the pots by the garden to round things out.
With that, we’re all ready for tomorrow, of course we’ve postponed our little shin dig to later in the weekend in hopes of fireworks and outdoor entertainment. And once the monsoons have passed I’ll grab tons more pics and do a proper before and after.
Happy Independence Day Eve, y’all! I think we’re going to celebrate with some Mexican food :-)

Flattered for the feature at Liz Marie Blog!
So glad you were able to get the sod in. We are so thankful we chose this spring/summer to redo the front…the rain has been a tremendous blessing. I have only had to water a handful of times! Happy 4th. Stay dry.
The transformation of your home is just awesome! So classic. It really looks great.
A crew of 20! Wow! How wonderful to get all that lovely sod in so that these never ending rains can keep it watered for you! I know what you mean about needing to postpone the Independence Day things. This is definitely NOT 4th of July weather! Regardless, your house looks beautiful!
Lovely! Happy Independence Day!
Everything looks beautiful! Have a wonderful holiday!
Just wondering where you found the bunting? it looks like good quality fabric and a great size!
You have a beautiful home! Everything looks so pretty!

Your landscaping looks beautiful! We have been relandscaping our front yard for the last couple of months. It's struggling in the heat (it's been 118º here) but I am so hopeful that it makes it.
Your home is beautiful inside and out! I love the festive touches for the fourth. Thanx for partying at my place!:)
