The Lenten season is upon us and I have pulled out our “Today for Lent…” cards in anticipation of forty days of prayer, almsgiving and fasting.
Rather than simply giving something up last year, we celebrated Lent as family each and every day with these cards. It was so much more meaningful and something I’ve looked forward to all year. Once again, I’ve cleared off the chalkboard in our mudroom to feature the card of the day, and then every card as we finish each day.
You can download our cards here >>> Today for Lent– the last page is blank so that you can come up with some or all of your own!

Lent is one of our favorite times of year… looking forward to using these cards this year. And celebrating Mardi Gras in Amanda-like fashion tomorrow! xo
Absolutely love the cards idea !! My hubby is currently in the process of becoming Catholic so these will be perfect for our family to do !! A great way to introduce him to the lent season :)
Another fabulous idea Amanda!
Such a wonderful idea…I remember these from last year. Thanks so much for sharing!

Amanda, you are doing right by I instilling these thoughts and actions with your boys. Nothing else you teach them will be as important as to grow up to be Christ-like men. It will effect their dating, marriage, work life, parenting skills, and over all character. I know…I have 21 and 23 year old sons!
Thank you for these, what a great idea!
