Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week around these parts – a week long celebration of some of the hardest working people around! Every year the PTA plans a little something special for each day of the week, with Thursday always being “supply basket” day. Students bring in items from their teachers’ wish lists and drop them in a basket before school. A parent volunteer then helps present it to the teacher on behalf of the class. (I was that person in both first grade and kindergarten.) So sweet!!
Anyhoo, John’s second grade teacher almost exclusively had books on her wish list, so we chose a couple and wrapped them up with a set of book plate stickers that read “From the Library of Mrs. B”.
I also made a couple with his name on them to go inside of the two books he chose.
He told me that he can’t wait to read them in the classroom :-)
I used these same book plates for a Meet & Greet treat in first grade.
You can find a free, unpersonalized printable file here!! And since I also get requests here and there for personalized labels, you can find both a digital printable and the finished stickers in my etsy store under the preppy papers section.
xoxo
Isn't it so awesome to see your children excited to read!?!
Such thoughtful gifts. We always purchased extra at the book fairs as well to donate to the classroom.
Thanks so much for being so generous! I can't wait to try this.
