Spring Training {Overnight Oatmeal}

The awesome folks at General Mills sent us a huge tote cram packed with goodies last month.  I tucked it in the coat closet when it arrived and completely forgot about it with the craziness of baseball, first communion, pre-k graduation and the end of the school year fury.

We were delighted to find some of our old favorites (nature valley protein granola and b-fast shakes) and were thrilled to try the rest.

Last night I made the littles the Overnight Granola Oatmeal in a Jar and it was a huge hit!!  Since we’ll be doing our inaugural season of swim team this summer, I’m excited to add this to the quick and healthy breakfast rotation for those early morning practices.

Overnight Granola Oatmeal in a Jar
2 servings
– 1 carton BFAST Breakfast Shake, any flavor (my littles LOVE these)
– 1 cup Nature Valley protein granola, any flavor
– 1/4 c. fruit (we used dried cranberries and cacao nibs)

1. Spoon 1/2 cup granola into each of two jars.  Pour 1/2 cup shake over granola in each jar.
2. Cover.  Refrigerate at least 8 hours but no longer than 1 day before eating.  Top each with 2T. desired fruit.

With that, I’d best be gettin to it.  This is our last week of school and there is much to be done!!  You can find the Hello, Cereal lovers website here and Facebook page here.
xoxo

  1. What a great gift from General Mills! So many goodies to try. Their new Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits have become a hit at our house. We enjoy them as a snack,too. Have a great week..I hope we see some sun today.

  2. Have fun with summer swim. Last year ended my son's 14 year run with summer swim team…it's a blast but makes for a jam packed June!

  3. I use to get your blog everyday. Then the blogs started going to my trash/spam folder. Now I am not getting them at all. How do I get back on the email list. The subscription list says I am already on the subscribers list. Pamela Brown [email protected]. I do not use google mail at all accept on rare occasions.
