Christmas Musings

Before we head home to pull the emergency brake on all Christmas craziness and just enjoy the last few days of the year with my family I wanted to catch y’all up the recent goings and doings.

I got this darling Coton Colors ornament at the loveliest little Christmas brunch hosted by bestie P last weekend.  The tassels were a flash sale from my shop and the darling top is by Elizabeth Wilson Designs.  The green velvet pants are old from Vineyard Vines.

I have squeezed in a few mornings of nothing but coffee and Hallmark movies this season and am hoping for a LOT more over the next two weeks.  I rarely score the fur blanket for myself because Whit thinks it is actually made of Elsa’s fur.  Hmmm….

We saw Rogue One on opening night with bestie M and her fam.  It was SOOOO good.  AND I didn’t have to leave with Whit after the first scene like last year.  :-)

I got the Disney Christmas Dooney with points from my Disney Visa early on in the season and I am just so glad that I did.  I’ve carried it literally everywhere this month and get compliments every.single.time.

I orchestrated the baby’s class party on Tuesday and it was great fun!!  We used the Cookies + Cocoa Party that I created last year.  I took out the Cookie Exchange and added a Face the Cookie game that was a real hoot.

I helped with John’s party on Wednesday.  His very last one.  I swear I had a tear in my eye.  How is he already half way through 5th grade?!  (My dress is from Target.)

I accidentally bought the Pretty Little Monograms Very Merry shirt in both short and long sleeves. Oops.  LOL.  I meant to sell this one but then one chilly day I pulled it on with leggings and knew I couldn’t part with it :-)  (Leggings from Target girls section; Socks from Dollar Spot)

I did a flash sale of our Christmas Capsule Ornament set and saved just one for our family to do together.  It was an amazing year.

Speaking of my shop, I’ve just relisted my monogrammed melamine plaid plates from today through 12/24.  They are SO fabulous for the holidays and all winter long.  Find them HERE for the next 2 days.

When Mother was in town for the baby’s birthday I enlisted her help in painting a Christmas canvas for the den.  I adore how it turned out and love that it’s something we created together.  <3

My chair had to move so that the Christmas tree would fit and I have the most magical view from it now…

My Magic Light Wand from Natalie Chang has brought so much joy to my Christmas.  It turns on our den tree and garland and makes me feel like a cross between Tinker Bell and Santa Claus.  It’s really the best!  I gave one to CeeCee last year too :-)

If you are traveling, I hope that you have a safe and easy trip.  And I wish all of you a very merry Christmas.  I’ll be spending the next few days doing absolutely nothing but slowing down and spending time with the people I love most.
