The Boathouse Restaurant at Disney Springs

The Boathouse has been my number one choice for dining at Disney Springs since our first meal there four years ago! The food is delicious, the service fantastic and the views are wonderful.

Savor the best of land and sea—from fresh fish and a raw bar to premium steaks, chops, pasta and more. In addition, the BOATHOUSE also offers a more casual outdoor menu of sandwiches, burgers and lobster rolls. Save some room for key lime pie in a mason jar, s’mores baked Alaska or one of the other divinely decadent desserts.

This is a signature dining experience so the food is on the pricey side, but really delicious and generously portioned.  For those on the Disney Dining Plan, it is a “2 credit” table serve option. (I’m loving the new “Plus” dining plan that gives you 2 credits per night and can be used for signature restaurants!)

The kid’s meals come in darling amphicar baskets still, which I love!

The coup de grace of the meal is definitely the Baked Alaska! I’ve wanted this dessert for YEARS, but we fill up and never have room. (Or, on our first visit the boys were being atrocious and I wasn’t going to reward that behavior with dessert…) It was everything I’d dreamed it would be! And, ironically, head and shoulders above the baked Alaska we had in Alaska. :-)

If you’re not up for a full meal, but want to check out The Boathouse or enjoy a perfectly prepared cocktail, I highly recommend one of the three bars: Captain’s Raw Bar, the Admiral’s Club Bar or the Dock Bar! It gets hard to find a spot in the evening, but early afternoons are typically easier.

In addition to the outstanding menu, The Boathouse is home to a multi-million dollar fleet of nineteen spectacular dream boats from the ’30s, ’40s and ’50s. We enjoy walking the dock and admiring them.

After you dine, you can use your receipt for a discount on an amphicar ride. This has been on my Disney bucket list for years! Each 20-minute guided tour of the lake is piloted by a boat captain and accommodates up to 3 people— non-discounted cost is $125 per 20-minute trip.

These are a few of my other favorite Disney Springs itineraries for my own family and clients:

  1. The amphicar ride was the absolute best! My husband had one as a teenager and I had heard so many stories about the fun he had. After 20 minutes I was trying to figure out how to come up with $100,000 to buy a fully functioning amphicar to play with on the lake. You’re right, the food at the Boathouse Restaurant was delicious but nothing could beat the experience of driving a car into a lake!
