I was absolutely thrilled that CeeCee invited me over for a “Bestie Craft-oween Party” this weekend. She planned the most fun little afternoon of all of our favorite things – food, crafts and girl talk! Oh, and we had a Halloween play list going throughout the party.
First on her agenda were these darling char-boo-terie boards. She decorated the chandelier with spider webs and put together the boards herself! Her dad and brother joined us just for this part of the afternoon. :-)
Next she gave me a drawing lesson “just like the animation classes at Disney”. She made samples before I arrived and had notes on each step for each picture. It was the cutest and sweetest thing ever.
For our final event, we made cheesecloth ghosts out on the porch. It was such a fun craft and I absolutely loved getting to bring mine home. She had all the supplies ready, including little candy baskets for us to enjoy. I got to bring home a big one, and two small ones in a cloche (even that and the lights were provided!)
It makes me smile every time I walk by! The large ghost will adorn our Trick or Treat table.
At age 10, Cee is quite an impressive little party planner and host. It was an absolutely boo-tiful event!
Of course, many thanks go out to Sister who was the “party helper” and financier. :-) I don’t even know how to thank her for including me in all the fun, girly things and for letting me be so close to CeeCee. <3

Your family is so talented and crafty. Love that!!!
Sounds like a perfect day! Will you share a tutorial post on how you made the ghosts? Would be cute to make for next spooky season.
I didn’t document the steps, but this is how we did it! We did not shape arms, just the one skewer to make the ghost body. https://www.firstdayofhome.com/cheesecloth-ghosts/
