Twas the Night Before a BIG Birthday

‘Twas the night before his 50th and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring—not even her spouse.
The banners were hung and the candles in place,
With dreams of confetti and cake to taste!

Honey turns 50 tomorrow and we absolutely cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I set up the table in our kitchen with all the festive birthday things on May 1 so we could celebrate our special guy all month long!

The little cupcake was originally a baby gift for John, called The Hidden Cupcake—and it’s become a cherished tradition in our family. Each year, I tuck a small surprise inside on birthdays. This year, we decided to use it in a new way: to treat Honey to something special every single day this month! From a round of golf with John to Whit cutting the grass or a simple note redeemable for a favorite treat (think Mountain Dew or Almond Joy!), we’ve had the best time coming up with daily surprises to shower him with love.

On the beverage bar I have more fun birthday things, including the birthday plate that was part of the cupcake baby gift!
