Celebrating Easter {Easter Dining Table}

Happy Easter Monday! Before we move on to Spring Break things, I wanted to share yesterday’s dining table. If I don’t do it now, I know I never will. :-)

I pulled together our Easter table at the crack of dawn using pieces I already had, and it came together so nicely for our little lunch for four.

The linens are old from April Cornell, and I still love the mix of soft pinks and blues in that large-scale floral. I would typically reach for my white butler’s pantry china, but the blue in the tablecloth worked so well with my Blue Willow everyday dishes. I paired those with my bunny salad plates from Williams Sonoma, which I’ve had for decades.

Since we were having steaks, I brought out my everyday Napoleon bee flatware for the knives, and used my Lismore tall crystal goblets to dress things up just a bit.

The place cards are ones I ordered back in 2020, and I always enjoy pulling them back out. I keep them tucked in the sideboard for exactly that reason. I think the bunny napkin rings were in the dollar spot at Target years back but am not certain.

Down the center of the table, I kept everything low so we could easily talk across. I used my two moss bunnies that had been in the kitchen, added in flowers from around the house, filled silver egg cups with chocolate-covered almonds, and finished it off with votives.

Since we didn’t really have a true breakfast, I made plenty of deviled eggs and a few other little snacks to start.

For the main, Honey made sous vide steaks, I had prepped a twice-baked potato casserole earlier in the week, and he added his roasted asparagus that the boys love… bonus points for “skinny asparagus,” of course. I also found the most gorgeous tomatoes at the farm stand and sliced those with smoked sea salt. We added slices of homemade sourdough and bunny-shaped butter, which felt like such a fun little detail. For dessert, we enjoyed the treats I made over the weekend, Ivy’s pound cake and crème de menthe brownies.

It was simple, easy, and just right for us. Feeling grateful for so many reasons.
