Lucky to Have You… {Printable}

March 13, 2012August 1, 2015

Here’s a last minute treat that you can whip up in no time at all before St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday! We rolled Oreo Cakesters in green sprinkles, bagged them and dressed them up with “lucky to have you for a friend” toppers. Seriously people, this is a no bake, no fail treat that’s just… Read More

Savannah Day 5: Convening with Nature

March 12, 2012July 28, 2015

We’re back from our whirlwind tour of Tampa and Savannah and I had just a few random pictures left on my camera.  When we weren’t shopping, eating or celebrating, it seems some of spent our time convening with nature. …fishing off the dock… …admiring the turtle Daddy-O rescued from the road… …catching lizards… …and eating… Read More

Savannah Day 4: Celebrating St. Pats

March 11, 2012July 28, 2015

It’s been our tradition for the last few years to skip the downtown parade in favor of the beach parade.  It’s super kid friendly – they throw beads and candy from the floats (which is not allowed downtown) and it’s only about an hour long event (versus three downtown).  We arrived at the beach early,… Read More

Savannah Day 3: My Parent’s Place

March 10, 2012July 28, 2015

I gave a mini-tour of my parents home all decorated for the holidays and thought it would be fun to share pictures of what their pretty place looks like the other eleven months of the year. I adore the creeping fig trained on the rise of their front steps.  I also adore their extremely manicured… Read More

Savannah Day 1: Thirty-five (again)

March 9, 2012July 28, 2015

Today I celebrated thirty-five – I decided last year that thirty-five would be a reasonable age on which to top out, and I must admit it felt good to do it again.  Here’s how I spent the day… Sleeping in late (thanks Mother for watching the baby!) then having brunch on the dock with Mother… Read More

Tampa Day 4: Good Eats and Good Reads

March 7, 2012July 28, 2015

We spent our last morning in Tampa dining on yet another delish meal prepared by my Aunt.  These Coffeehouse Scones are some of the best I’ve had… Coffeehouse Scones 1c. all purpose flour 2T. sugar 1/2 t. baking powder 1/4 t. baking soda 1/4 t. salt 1/4 c. unsalted butter cold and cut into slices… Read More

A weekend I’ll never forget. 🤍 Back in my hometow A weekend I’ll never forget. 🤍

Back in my hometown celebrating the daughter of my sorority big sis, one of my dearest friends since the day we met at the ZTA house during rush.

For over three decades, we’ve shared so much life together. I can still remember decorating A’s nursery, celebrating birthdays and cheering her on through every stage along the way.

And now here we are, celebrating her wedding weekend in beautiful Savannah.

The entire weekend celebration was absolutely sensational, filled with faith, family, friends, happy tears, lots of laughter and more love than I can possibly put into words.

My heart is so full. 🤍 All of our best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. 🤍
The very best week at home with Mother and Daddy-O The very best week at home with Mother and Daddy-O. 🤍

We ate all our favorite things, visited all our favorite places and enjoyed the kind of time together that never lasts quite long enough.

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
