Eating Around Savannah 2022

With our cross-town shopping extravaganza, we had to stay fueled up. :-) We enjoyed a wonderful fix of old favorites and new finds during my three day trip home!

The Vault

The Vault is a family favorite downtown. I always get the Teller Chicken Tacos and this trip was no different! Go as soon as they open for dinner and, even then, there will likely be a line out the door.

Auspicious Bakery

Auspicious Bakery is located in Sandfly. They are only open a few days a week and always draw huge crowds. We queued up well down the sidewalk to pick our bakery favorites – the everything croissant with cream cheese filling and homemade pop tart!

Sea Wolf

Sea Wolf on Tybee is a place my parents had tried but was new to me. It is an eclectic little spot, featuring hand crafted cocktails, oysters and hot dogs. It is certainly a unique combination but they execute all of them with perfection. You can expect a bit of a wait for a seat, but they do have live music on the weekends. I can’t wait to bring Honey back to this one.

Carey Hilliard’s

Hilliard’s is a long-standing family favorite and I’ve been enjoying meals at the Skidaway Road location for as long as I can remember. They are known for the bbq and seafood, but the brunswick stew and crinkle fries are my favorite. This, gulped down with the sweetest of sweet teas, is one of my most coveted comfort food meals.

Paris Market

Paris Market, located on Broughton Street, is another one that has been on the list since the beginning of the blog. The merchandise can be quirky and is hit or miss BUT it is a fun shopping experience even just to browse. No matter if I find a item to bring home or not, I always stop at the cafe. Our favorites are the French Garden Iced Tea, Frozen French Hot Chocolate, iced sugar cookies (from Two Smart Cookies, which has made my list many times) and macaroons.

Chocolat by Adam Turoni

Chocolat by Adam Turoni is another shopping experience. You choose hand made chocolates from the most unique presentations. We each chose one and all were divine. This is on Broughton Street and easy to hit after Paris Market. There are tons of favorites along this strip.

I cannot wait to find another free weekend to make the trip home <3 With school, sports, church, work, etc, it’s not always easy but it was SO worth it! Thanks for a marvelous time Mother and Daddy-O!

Celebrating Easter {Palm Sunday & Resurrection Rolls}
