Chalk Project {March}

March 28, 2015July 31, 2015

I spent quite a lot of time at school this week!  Not only did I get to attend the third grade field trip, but I was also a center volunteer in the baby’s class.  Afterwards, we fashioned a chalk rainbow on the sidewalk and turned the students into silly little leprechauns for this month’s photo.… Read More

They are in the throes of learning about the civil rights movement and this remarkably immersive and engaging day took them back to the late 1940’s through early 1960’s to fight for their rights.… Read More

Spring Hop {Easter Table}

March 25, 2015July 28, 2015

Today wraps up our quick little Spring Blog Hop and it’s my day to share (along with bestie R)! The past few years I’ve gone with nests and blue eggs for Easter, but a host of gorgeous spring days inspired me to make things more colorful and to haul out the bunnies. I popped in… Read More

DIY Disney Pin Boards

March 24, 2015July 31, 2015

One of the gifts I made for the littles at Christmas were these cute boards to hold their growing Disney pin collections! I started with a large piece of foam board from Dollar Tree and used an exacto knife to cut the Mickey shapes.  I traced the shapes with chalk using two sizes of bowls… Read More

March 23, 2015September 6, 2015

It’s been waaaaaaaay too long since I turned over the reins to Honey (he might disagree).  Here goes…   With Amanda including me in so many items on her 40×40 list, I thought I would put mine together as well.  Call me inspired.  She plans to complete all of hers by the end of her… Read More

Sunday Supper {Roasted Fish + Veggies}

March 22, 2015July 31, 2015

First and foremost, I want to ask you to keep my dear, sweet friend M in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.  She lost her mother early this morning after a courageous battle against cancer.   I really haven’t done a whole lot of cooking lately with our trip to Savannah,… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
