Sips & Suits {March Mahj}

March 21, 2026March 22, 2026

March has been full of mahjong, and I am not mad about it one bit. I hosted our monthly Sips & Suits gathering here at the house with three full tables, and it was such a fun night. There is just something about a table full of tiles, a few sips and good friends that… Read More

St. Patrick’s Day {A Simple Supper}

March 17, 2026March 18, 2026

Coming off the flu, my 50th birthday celebrations and an extended family trip to Walt Disney World last week, it has been a minute since I have made a proper meal at home. (Are you tired of hearing about how I had the flu yet? Because whooooole family is. HA!) And if I am honest,… Read More

Sunday Brunch {Amaretto Fruit Dip}

March 15, 2026March 10, 2026

The other day I went down a rabbit hole flipping through some of my older cookbooks, which is always a dangerous and delightful place to wander. In one that my sweet friend NF gave me at a wedding shower back in 2002, the Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton cookbook, I stumbled upon a… Read More

Pop In & Sip Awhile {Espresso Martini Night}

March 13, 2026March 7, 2026

February’s Pop In & Sip Awhile featured a cocktail Honey and I both love but had never actually made ourselves… the espresso martini. We sent the text invite to friends a couple of days before and then looked at each other and said, “We better figure this out.” Luckily, I had screenshot a recipe about… Read More

A New Year, A New Hobby

March 12, 2026March 7, 2026

Last year I really leaned into learning new things and it brought me so much joy. With John off at Auburn and Whit an upperclassman in high school, I suddenly found myself with a little more time on my hands and a heart that wanted to guard and grow during this season of life. I… Read More

Fab Finds {Flickering Lantern Bulbs}

March 10, 2026March 10, 2026

Ever since we bought this house, I have dreamed of having gas flickering lanterns on the front porch. I just love that warm, welcoming glow they create. But as anyone who has owned a home knows, there always seems to be a long list of projects competing for attention. Over the years we have tackled… Read More

On Turning Fifty

March 8, 2026March 8, 2026

Today I turn 50. I don’t know that I’ve done everything right over the last five decades, but I do know one thing for sure: I have no regrets. I raised the kids, loved the husband, got the dogs, took the trip, accepted the job, showed up and loved with abandon. There is so much… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
