Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Bungalows & Island Tower

July 14, 2025July 14, 2025

I love to update my resort reviews after each visit, and we last stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort just last month. From the moment you arrive, you’re transported straight to the South Pacific. Lush tropical plantings, flickering tiki torches, and the sound of waterfalls set the scene for that iconic island escape. The Polynesian… Read More

One of my family’s favorite ways to spend a Disney day is at the Water Parks – yes, plural! This summer marks the first time since 2019 that both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are open at the same time. Beginning this fall, they’ll once again rotate seasonally. So, if both are on your wish… Read More

I do believe I’ve *nearly* recovered from Easter weekend :-) We had plans to spend the weekend in Auburn until John called at the eleventh hour and said he would rather come home because nothing would be going on at school. So, I spent my Thursday afternoon menu planning, grocery shopping, fluffing his room and… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
